Phil Welches, PhD, Clinical Psychologist

 Phil Welches, PhD completed a year-long certification program in Psychedelic Therapies and Research at the California Institute if Integral Studies (CIIS), taught by experts from the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), John Hopkins University, UCLA, New York University, University of Wisconsin Madison, UC Berkeley, and CIIS. The program content included clinical protocols involved in FDA-approved research currently in final phase for MDMA (for PTSD) and Psilocybin (for depression), prior historic psychedelic research, and long standing cultural/shamanistic practices. Dr. Welches is a provider listed by Psychedelic Support. Currently, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is the only Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy legally available, with the exceptions of those in research trials or related expanded access. Dr. Welches provides KAP. He also provides psychotherapy with individuals experiencing distress related to unresolved past experiences. He does does not provide treatment involving illegal substances.
